Great service, amazing drinks, excellent food. Server was very attentive and helpful even though I was the only customer sitting on the outside patio at 3pm. Drinks were well balanced and beautifully garnished. I had the prime rib sandwich with house made chips - absolutely amazing taste & freshness!

The Bang-Bang Shrimp was fresh with a tiny bit of bang in the delicious sauce. The salad needed more blueberries & dressing so I added oil & vinegar. The cold duck was tender and plentiful. I missed having a piece of crusty bread or a roll. It was a birthday treat and I'd go again for the fried croaker dish my son had.

Appetizers were fine. Entrees were incredible. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Service was great and we even had a waitress in training. Would definitely come back again.

Food, drinks, and service were great. Good value for the quality. They were willing to customize our order. Will be returning!

This review of 5 stars is given because the restaurant is in Jacksonville . In Wilmington, it would be a 3.5 or 4. But...for being in J-Ville, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience! This is definitely the best (and only) upper casual American food dining in the town. The outside has a patio that was definitely run down and looked very used. When you walk in, there is a nice bar area to the left. Classy but casual. The actual dining room is very nicely decorated with adorable booths and nice dim lighting. On the other side is a "bar". Something typical for the area. There were people eating in there but it was very dive barish. This is the section that led to the bar patio out front. Our server was great! Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. Menu consisted of steaks, lamb, seafood, pastas, and some great apps. Steaks are pricey around $50. I was not very hungry or I would have ordered the lamb chops. They looked amazing. I started with a delicious spicy Bloody Mary. My friend had the fried green tomato appetizer and she enjoyed it very much. I had a small house salad with homemade ranch. The salad was plentiful and had a great taste. My friend had the salmon over rice and spinach and she loved it. It looked fantastic! I had the sesame tuna app as my meal. It was also very good. I will definitely be back again and I do recommend this place for a more fine dining experience for the area.

I found some good reviews for the Duck at Ducks, so I decided to head here for dinner. I sat at the bar and was greeted right away. The bartender recommended the spinach with my Duck and sweet potato mash, so I went with it. Everything was luke warm to cold. I was really disappointed. However, she saw that I was struggling with the dish and asked if they could remake my dinner. I had skipped breakfast and was really hungry so I said no way. 5 stars with cold food, yes! Even cold the blueberry aujus was delightful on the crispy Duck. The spinach was perfectly wilted, flavorful and the sweet potato mash was very good. I could tell if everything had been warm/hot, I would have been extra happy. That means fresh, quality food. I always say I'll take good food and great service over great food and marginal service. The manager was advised of my cold meal and removed the charges. What does that = 5 stars , I told 2 people looking for dinner spots at Food Lion to eat here and since I work in Jacksonville, I will be eating here again.

This is one of my favorite watering holes in the 'Ville. I like the bar here. McKenzie is an amazing bartender. She is awesome. Great smile with a friendly greeting as someone approaches the bar. Jordan isn't bad either. Lol ;) For a bar, the ample amount of lighting in my opinion, not too dark just the right amount of lighting. Restrooms are (usually) clean, which is probably one of the most important things after food and service. I've had great things off the menu here...burgers, grilled steaks, chicken wingz...which brings me to the negative aspect of this comment, "Taco Tuesday." Flour tortillas were burned and tasted pretty bad, the beef tasted pretty good initially but the last taco I slowed down and realized the meat was very salty...very disappointed after all the great meals I have enjoyed @ Duck's...I'll be back though
